brilliant analogy... NO,there would be statues of them in the North as they fought for the North. There are no statues of Lee, Jackson etc in Boston as far as I know.
Doubtful, but then had the CSA won, Washington DC would have still had all of its statues. The CSA for all of its warts, was not interested in ruling the United States. Not sure if a defeated Union would have honored its defeated generals.

Had our Southern ancestors won their war for INDEPENDENCE, the Unionist generals statues would be in the Northern capitol (I suspect that the USA would have moved their capitol as DC would be within the width of a river from CSA territory.) & Monument Avenue would still be as it was just last week.

Yes, Meathead. The fact that the US had, until this recent idiocy, revered those who fought on both sides of the conflict explains in large part why we never had Civil War II-—unlike so many dysfunctional pestilence holes around the globe.
