Inslee’s doubling down comes also on the heels of being booed off stage in South Central Washington (Tri-Cities) o June 30.
You can burn a building in Seattle with no mask enforcement for so-called “protesters with a match” but I can’t shop in that building without a mask to get the necessities of life. We are told the situation is so bad but, Inslee knows the virus will wait till July 7 to be really bad so says the governor and all his junk science from his University of Washington technocrats that have been wrong every step of the way.
Inslee is attempting to put the onus on businesses for enforcement. It’s time businesses stood up to this petty tyrant.
Perhaps Inslee should seek medication to control his anger towards the people in this state.
I, for one, will never comply. These masks have nothing to do with safety or the virus. They are there to show you care so much more than someone without a mask. To this governor it is a signal that you will step in line, he owns your conscience, you have arrived as a SLAVE.
Being required to virtual signal against your conscience is UNCONSTITUTIONAL in this state. We can hope the decision comes soon.
I don’t see how a Washington grocery store can refuse to sell food to my 93-year-old stepfather. He has no mask and lives alone but does drive himself for groceries.
Businesses should withhold any fees or taxes due to the State.

So, in the interest of public safety, should businesses turn away any employee who’s not in the country legally?
Yes. You can wear three of them and get some protection. Wearing just one might stop sone of your droplets. But my best advice is to not speak in public, and certainly not cough. The disease is spread by the gabbers and glad handers.
Next time you are in a store if you are in a state that doesnt require a mask...notice how many people walk by you spewing virus out of their mouth..if they had it..while talking on the cell phone.
In a store you cant talk quietly like you can on a landline at home,. Lots of strong air coming out of your mouth..not as bad a singing, though.
As for people talking, they should just text instead. Nobody wants to hear their meanderings. Text and keep it to the point. That's why I absolutely hate youtube. It is almost always someone prattling on who doesn't have a coherent argument.

you’ve completely missed the point; the masks themselves are nothing but fabric and elastic, and are useful for some things and not for others...the real point is a mandate coming from people who are stepping outside their boundaries and are forcing citizens to comply with that marginally effective mandate or be considered antagonistic toward their fellows, who are then urged to isolate and ostracize the ‘lawbreakers’...
let the citizenry enforce the tyranny; the authorities can then wash their hands (literally) as latter day Pilates; but whoever enforces it, tyranny it is and shall remain...
You are almost completely mistaken. Read my profile for the evidence for and against. If citizen store owners want to enforce a mask, then they should because there is evidence to support them. If the government sends out the the police to arrest maskless people, while at the same time letting convicts out of jail, then that is tyranny.
palmer, you really don't understand what is going on do you? These “citizen store owners” (as opposed to government store owners?) are being compelled, forced, shall, must do the bidding of the government or they will be heavily fined, their business licenses revoked and ultimately locked or shut down!
Watch this video out of FL. Perhaps it might sink in what these store owners everywhere are faced with.
If you think masks requirements are tyranny then you should start the no-mask party and see where it goes politically. I doubt it will get a majority. If you think mask requirements are going to push people into revolt then that's fine with me. Let's do it. You should support the most onerous mask requirements imaginable. But I don't think that's going to gain a lot of traction either.
