Somehow we went from “none of the government’s business” to “the government better pay attention to meeeee.”

Estate attorneys will hate this. Once everybody can marry anybody(s) they can marry their heirs (even their children) to avoid wills and probate.

Multiple wives = Multiple Mothers-In-Law

The only advice I've given to my sons and nephews is "don't come to me for advice on women," and "don't marry a woman who has more that 2 or 3 sisters. My wife has 6 sisters, and that's about as bad as having multiple mothers-in-law. Check that, it's worse, because I got along great with my MIL.

My sons and nephews have concurred 100% with #2, because they have their own issues with one or all of those aunts.

I don’t even want one wife
= = =

Is there a Mrs. dp0622, or a sig. other dp0622?

Do they read your posts?

Well, you are safe here.

dp0622 you ask, nope. Are sure you don’t mean dpo622, or dp0662?

They all look the same to me.

Never saw one, never heard one, never read one. Sorry.

The question is—can you get free utilities if you marry all the utility poles in your neighborhood?

;-)

Estate attorneys will hate this.

I'd be willing to bet that the way the law will handle this will be to remove any and all tax and estate benefits for marriage and family relationships. Heck, you may not be able to file taxes jointly. The concept of dependents may go out the window. In our Brave New World such things may get too complicated, and so those benefits will just go away.

I just want to know if I can claim various pieces of furniture around the apartment as deductions on my tax returns.

The Democrats have legalized just about every sexual and moral perversion. What’s next, pedophilia and doing it with animals??

Well, that didn’t take long. Celebrating five years of deconstructed marriage by doing the next logical thing.

I was going to look for that graphic, so thanks for posting. It is the most accurate cartoon of the decade.

It took 15 years from when Vermont created same sex unions in 2000 to Obergefell in 2015.

Yep. The swirl in the toilet goes fastest nearest the drain.

I just posted this NYT link to a gay website I troll. I’ll be interested in seeing the replies, more than likely self-induced amnesia about their assurances before marriage was redefined.

Seeing the headline I was expecting it to be Cambridge but Somerville (or Slumerville,as locals call it) isn't a surprise. Slumerville has been trying to “out Cambridge” Cambridge for years now.

We’re in free fall:

He said he had considered the possibility that a large number of people — say, 20 — would approach the city and ask to be registered as domestic partners.

“I say, well what if they do?” Mr. Davis said. “I see no reason to think that is more of an issue than two people.”
