I used to think the Bush/Cheney ticket was far preferable to the Gore/Lieberman ticket. I now think I was probably wrong. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.
I never thought that and didn’t vote for Bush the first time around (almost didn’t the second time). Bush was clearly a liberal globalist and Cheney was a long time pusher of the homosexual agenda. I was an Alan Keyes advocate in those days. Keyes summed it up perfectly after the primaries. “These aren’t my kind of people”.
Free Republic was however like teen girl fan club over Bush. It prompted one of the greatest threads of all time, “Bush Republic”.
