I’ve worked hard for everything I have in life. No one gave me anything, especially because I’m white. Go pound sand.
“Ive worked hard for everything I have in life. No one gave me anything, especially because Im white. Go pound sand.”
Ditto.
I have NEVER cared about race. I grew up in a white flight neighborhood, mostly hard working, wonderful Mexican Americans, who were PROUD to be American. My high school was mostly Mexican American, then Black, then 10% white. My first crush was on a black guy. I’ve worked with/hired different races, didn’t care about it. NOW? I would never hire a black person, if I hadn’t worked with them 10 years ago and knew their character. This Marxist crap that has riled up a lot of black people, who are of course just foolish pawns, has set black people in general back 100 years. I honestly want to avoid them now. And, I know I’m not the only one.
Articles like this make me want to relieve myself.
I first entered the job market in the 70s. Government quotas were big then. A white guy had a harder time finding a job in exchange for a given skill set than a minority. Haven’t been in the job market for a while now, but I’d bet that is still true. Maybe less overt - I doubt many will hear, as I did sometimes, “Can’t hire a white guy” - but suspect it still exists.
That said, I never complained or worried. Just went on with life. Life is filled with setbacks. How one handles them is what determines success or failure.
