In elementary school my daughter and a black kid named Michael were always at the top of the class. When they got to junior high Michael's performance went to hell in a handbasket so my daughter asked him about it one day. He told her that making good grades in school was considered "being too white" for acceptance among his peers.
On top of that, I don’t think the bowing, groveling, shoe-shining White folks realize that when the revolution succeeds, they will be exterminated.
I wish nobody of any color anything other than the best life has to offer, but after loving my family and friends, and sacrificing for them always, my supply of caring about strangers is tapped out.
Good luck to ya’ll, but don’t blame me for anything that goes wrong in your life.
I would say that having the same laws that apply to all, the affirmative action debacle, and the Obama reign of destruction is enough of a sign that the whites (who never owned slaves) have held out an olive branch to the blacks (who were never slaves). Enough. Follow the laws (you’d be amazed how many people who follow the laws have NEVER had issues with the police), be polite, be nice, have the chip off your shoulder surgically removed if necessary, and you’ll be fine.
As will be the folks that exterminate them.
That sacrifice was made 160 years ago dumbass. Republicans, and mostly white people bore the burden, as we have with taxes going to support too many black people. I don’t want to ally with black people. They can ally with the rest of the nation as Americans, or find another place to live.
I have NEVER cared about race. I grew up in a white flight neighborhood, mostly hard working, wonderful Mexican Americans, who were PROUD to be American. My high school was mostly Mexican American, then Black, then 10% white. My first crush was on a black guy. I’ve worked with/hired different races, didn’t care about it. NOW? I would never hire a black person, if I hadn’t worked with them 10 years ago and knew their character. This Marxist crap that has riled up a lot of black people, who are of course just foolish pawns, has set black people in general back 100 years. I honestly want to avoid them now. And, I know I’m not the only one.
This is also one of the things that comes with too much idle wealth in a society. People who don’t appreciate what it took to make such wealth.
“But are they ready for sacrifice?”
And that statement is the entire destructive premise of what is happening. There are a few questions that immediately arise from this theology of hate:
Why does it have to be a sacrifice to join? Why must one group be awarded a loftier position in society than another when it is against society to be in either position? Why do people accept a societal assigned position being implied that only creates a split in communication at all levels of intelligence? Why are we allowing ourselves to be ruled by those that feed off pieces of society that are not condoned but are spotlighted for their gain? Why are we trying so hard to be different to separate when we have every opportunity to make life better? And finally, why are we trying so hard to live up to our own subservient expectations? Winners have no boundaries. Losers close the door to their own cage.

The “Crab Bucket Mentality” in a nutshell.
White button? Never seen it.
I grew up in an old rented farm house. $50.00 a month rent, where we would get MONTHS behind paying.
It had zero insulation and a coal gravity furnace.
We would run out of coal and freeze, using the electric oven to heat just the tiny kitchen.
My mother would heat up an iron and warm the sheets just before we jumped into bed. Then she would empty the closets and lay all the clothes on top of us as extra blankets. In the morning she would hang them back up in the closet.
Where was the “white privilege” in my life that everyone talks about?
I can remember my mother telling me “We may be poor, but at least we’re white” /s
NO, I CAN’T!
There was no racism in our house! No “white privilege”.
We may have been “white trash”, but at least we didn’t live in a TRAILER!
The “charmed life of being a White person in America” consists of: living with other White people, which means a reduced risk of becoming a victim of crime from another member of your race; the privilege of “acting White” by using proper English, getting an education, obeying the law, and working for a living; the privilege of getting and staying productively employed, getting and staying married, and taking on the burdens of raising your children in a responsible manner; and saving and investing your wages so as to provide for your future and the needs of your family.
I want to be an ally. Therefore, when my teenagers apply for college, I will demand they be treated as African Americans and placed in that application pool. It will be difficult for them to give up their privilege, but it is a sacrifice we must make.
True. As has been said, things are worth what you pay (sacrifice) for them. In other words, things that come free are typically unappreciated (like welfare and trust funds)
It's all about the culture.. The black experience in America.. And their proud of it..
You been to Rikers yet.? If you ain't, you ain't nobody....
I'm 76...I've worked since I was 12....and I still don't own a $200 pair of sneakers.
Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.
I would rather hit the idiot Smoot head as many times as I hear racial epithets like “white Americans”, “black Americans”, “yellow Americans”, blah, blah, blah...
"ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA!"
Instead of marching and protesting maybe they should drop to their knees and thank GOD for all they have.
Instead of whining, complaining, and demanding, maybe they should learn to fish.
