The skies are forecast to be clear in the Bay Area on Saturday, even in San Francisco that has a reputation for being socked in with fog on July 4.
Despite the fireworks-friendly forecast, there won't be any dazzling displays of color lighting up San Francisco Bay.
Fireworks shows across the region are cancelled to discourage large gatherings amid the coronavirus pandemic. None of the big annual shows at the Berkeley Marina, Marin County Fair, Sausalito waterfront and San Francisco's Aquatic Park will take place.
Small-town celebrationsincluding fireworks, parades and festivalshave also been cancelled.

Fireworks cause Chinese Wohan Coronavirus? Or maybe they risk stirring up some patriotism?
Probably can’t afford fireworks.
Thanks Black Riots Murder.
Nope, there are plenty of bootleg fireworks going off in my neighborhood even as I type this.
The powers that be just don’t want them tied to any sort of American patriotic gathering.
There goes my annual festival of the kites at Berkeley Marina. Not a big surprise.
But, the George Floyd protests, the rioting, looting and destruction of statures will be allowed to contine.
Forth of July is racist anyway, so they want you to know.
Thanksgiving and Christmas have also been canceled - forever.
By the way, please join me in congratulating Floyd George on being drug-free for over a month now
A lot of big cities are having nightly shows already.
If it’s fun, you can’t go there, do it, or you have to wear a mask.
Unless it’s protesting, vandalism, or looting. In that case, go to town. /s
Very quiet tonight, hope everyone didn’t use up their fireworks early this year!
Full-scale protests by Antifa will be approved, however.
In my neighborhood too. They were setting off car alarms last night
Always winter and never Christmas
Pathetic.
Yeah I heard they are bringing the fireworks this year.
Pelosi’s going to get lit up instead... probably has a bar as fancy as her ice cream freezer.
