Sorry sir but YOU are the one trying to see into the future by suggesting this guy might have armed himself and hurt others in order to avoid prison. That is simply a wild ass guess on your part. You have no idea what this guy would have done and we will never know because he is dead. He may have just as well sobered up and turnd himself in.

Not what I said was fact. The officer could have simply stopped chasing him ( not shot him in the back twice) and he would still be alive. That is simply a fact. Then I said “likely” in custody. I think most in law enforcement would agree given the shear amount of information they had on this man including his vehicle.

The police should only use lethal force if the life of the officer or the life of others are in immediate peril. That danger was not present once this suspect was fleeing on foot. This is very clear in the video. This officer unfortunately let the stress of the encounter lead to unreasonable use of deadly force. Sadly I suspect he himself can see this on the video and he is now in serious legal jeopardy. He may with good lawyering get a sympathetic jury and come out ok but maybe not.

With all this, I myself put the majority of the blame on officer training.
