Jeff Bezos' Twitch temporarily bans Trump for 'hateful conduct'

Twitch, a streaming platform owned by Amazon mogul Jeff Bezos, has temporarily banned President Trump’s account for “hateful conduct” stemming from footage of the president’s speeches.

“Hateful conduct is not allowed on Twitch. In line with our policies, President Trump’s channel has been issued a temporary suspension from Twitch for comments made on stream, and the offending content has been removed,” a Twitch spokesperson told Fox News.

A rebroadcast of Trump’s 2015 campaign launch -- when he famously criticized people crossing the Mexican border to illegally enter the United States -- and comments Trump made at his recent Tulsa rally were flagged by Twitch.

They aren’t really our enemies per se, they are just doing what corporations do, looking for profits from the largest number of customers, and older folks, like me, are spending less money so we have less influence. American corporations are short term thinkers these days, not like in “olden” days when they thought 25-30 years down the road, now the thinking is a year, maybe two, because the markets, and the products change so fast.

I hope your right, I really do but if I had a site, like Parler and Mr Google walked into my door with a big case of cash I’d be a fool not to consider selling and take my money and sail away to a place with low taxes and no extradition. As for Mr. Bongino, he is not an owner, just a partner I would guess, so Google could buy the rest, leave him is share and still make him irrelevant.

But I hope I’m wrong and Parler takes off to be the next Facebook/Twitter/Twitch but I don’t think it will.

In the grand scheme of Social media, Freerepubic (no disrespect intended) is pretty small potatoes and is more an echo chamber than a place for outreach and impact on the virtual stage.

I understand if folks want to get mad at this messenger but I’m just telling you what you can all see right in front of you. I see what goes on inside FAcebook, Twitter and yes I watch gamers on Twitch (I’m a big Battlefield fan and play a great deal), so I’m acutely aware of the impact of Social media on todays society and I’m really afraid of some of it.

Google buys sh*t everyday, pays good money for it just to make it go away. My wife works for a very large information platform, we are stock holders and I get to see what companies and products they buy on a daily basis, some they integrate into their systems, most they put in a virtual box and stick in a closet.

And there are lots of firms that simply refused to sell to Google.
Parler is all set to experience explosive growth after Trump signs up. They will become big. They don't need Google for anything.
And they are a private company so Google can't take them over by buying the stock on the stock market.
Right now if Google or Twitter even as much as attempts to look at Parler, the Barr and the DOJ will descend on them like a ton of bricks for anti trust violations. Oh wait, Barr is ALREADY investigating Google for anti trust violations as we speak.
