Supreme Court declines to hear border wall challenge (Win)

The Supreme Court is leaving in place a decision that rejected environmental groups’ challenge to sections of wall the Trump administration is building along the U.S. border with Mexico.

The high court on Monday declined to hear an appeal involving construction of 145 miles (233 kilometers) of steel-bollard walls along the border in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas.

The Center for Biological Diversity, the Animal Legal Defense Fund, Defenders of Wildlife, and the Southwest Environmental Center had challenged a federal law that allows the secretary of Homeland Security to waive any laws necessary to allow the quick construction of border fencing. The groups had argued that violates the Constitution’s separation of powers. But a lower court dismissed the case.

It looks like the issue of waiving environmental regulations is settled, in favor of the Trump Administration.

Two separate issues - challenges to the use of Military Counter-Narcotics funds, and Military Construction funds - are still winding through the Courts. The Ninth Circus recently ruled against the use of Counter-Narcotics funds, but that is likely to be overturned.

Then there remains the many small cases to acquire the land needed along the Rio Grande in South Texas, but those are pretty much a slam dunk - just time consuming.

I wonder why Roberts didn’t strike in this case. Possibly he’s going liberal on what he sees as the more high profile cases, and going conservative on cases he sees as more below the radar.

Doesn’t matter. The Left will keep fighting, because nothing is ever settled until it is settled the way the Left wants it settled, and then it is settled until the Left wants to move further Leftward.

Someone in authority is going to need to cause a “constitutional crisis” by simply refusing to abide by a SCOTUS leftist decision, to affirm that the Court;s function is to define constitutionality, and not decide on which side should win in politics. The Louisiana abortion case would be as good a place to start as any, and better than most.

Partner, thanks for this post.

Everybody that lives in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California knows that the Drug Cartels and Illegal Immigration needs to be curtailed and now is the time.

Enough is Enough of this Bravo Sierra that we get from the DemonRats since the Illegal Alien Vermin vote for the DemonRats and the DemonRats know this.

Also, the Drug Cartels are operating and control cities in Mexico and this is the major reason they control everything in Mexico. The Drug Cartels continue to not pay taxes on the revenue that they get from drugs and a lot of drugs are coming into Mexico from the outside.

Everybody in the U.S.A. knows and understands these little facts except the DemonRat party.

The Right is winning the abortion argument in the States, even though the SC keeps clinging to it. Eventually, we will get a conservative SC and overturn it.
