Hyde was my congressman too and basically one of the very good ones. HOWEVER, he caved on the Clinton “assault weapon” ban in 1994 and therefore was instrumental in it’s passage. For that he is NEVER forgiven.

It was shocking, the fawning media, the fawning fans - then you have that moron Kissinger saying "Barack Obama is in a unique position to create a New World Order" (something to that effect) - good heavens.
The adoration poured out by his cult following looks much like that old Chick Tract cover. If they had 666 tattooed on their heads it wouldn't have surprised me.
Now I can't say he's that guy (I expect that man to arise from Europe). I'm just saying he and his followers did a whole lot of things I expected to happen.
