Now that being what they voted on, they way they worded the bill, they give no chance of keeping the Mississippi flag the way it is now.
... TO PROVIDE THAT IF A MAJORITY OF THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS VOTE AGAINST THE NEW DESIGN, THEN THE COMMISSION TO REDESIGN THE MISSISSIPPI STATE FLAG SHALL RECONVENE TO RECOMMEND A NEW DESIGN FOR THE MISSISSIPPI STATE FLAG TO BE PRESENTED TO THE LEGISLATURE DURING THE 2021 REGULAR SESSION;
These coward refuse to defend our heritage.
These cowards dont give a damn about what we the citizens of Mississippi really want.
They just want to get the "Flag Controversy" off of their plate.
We really have a sorry bunch of politicians in Mississippi.

One lousy vote over 50% and you can do anything to anybody? That’s just lovely. So much for Southern pride.

I see the idea of simple majority rules as the most dangerous working of our republic.
I firmly believe it should take n overwhelming majority to create new taxes , mandates or criminal statutes.Somewhere around 75 to 80 percent. If it were harder we would have fewer laws and less taxes.

The harsh reality is with their signing of the Constitution states ceded sovereignty to the federal government . That nasty little phrase buried in the middle has been and will continue to be used as authority for anything Congress votes into law.

At the very least they should put it up for referendum. I’d bet that a chunk of the good black folks in the Delta would tell them to shove it.

A good flag design does not include words.

That nasty little phrase buried in the middle has been and will continue to be used as authority for anything Congress votes into law. I'm confused. This resolution was in the Mississippi state house, not the House of Representatives in DC. This is MS legislating to take down their own flag. What does the federal government have to do with this?

No. That happened after the disaster at Appomattox.

Mississippi government is not strong enough to withstand the mob. No line in the sand yet, the demonic left continues to advance unchecked.
