If and when it is shown to be a hoax, the perpetrator will go unpunished and the whole thing will be seen as a valuable aid in starting a deep ‘conversation about race’ which is long overdue in this racist culture. Because even though it wasn’t put there by a racist, it is just the kind of thing they’d do. /s
