Spot on... I’m more inclined to believe they are “lost souls” as their moral compass is nonexistent. They have forgotten the face of the father.

More and more among the left I am seeing what I call the “Vampire Syndrome”. Just as the cinematic Dracula shunned the light, the cross, and the sacred, drawing back in terror even when just seeing them; so too are leftists, who continually condition themselves like Pavlov’s dog, or even B.F. Skinner’s pigeons.
In other words, what *was* voluntary, through endless practice has become involuntary sociopathic conditioning.
And the list of things that elicit an involuntary response, typically violently lashing out, keeps growing.
Seeing someone sporting a cross or carrying a Bible or praying, or wearing a MAGA hat, and such people attack, importantly, without thinking. College students shutting down speech they don’t tolerate, attacking anti-abortion signs, etc.
And they often do so while chanting, often slogans unrelated to their actions, and utterly blind to those they attack.

Some years ago on a different forum, before Obama was elected, there was the typical discussion of, “I wonder if he is the antichrist.” Not particularly serious. But a leftist chimed in his support for Obama, and so was razzed by many other posters, leaving him flustered.
Finally he said something that grabbed my attention: “I wish Obama *was* the antichrist, because he would give us the stuff we want and hurt those we hate!”
Oh crap. This was like a splash of cold water across the face. That poster is so full of greed and hate that he was willing to serve the personification of evil, in exchange for gratification. The lives of other people were unimportant to him, and he was willing to even try to end the world to get what he craved.
At that point, Democrats ceased to be just a political party and became fully advocates of evil. This idea was solidified when they renounced God three times at their national convention.
