Banning it will likely cause an increase in police shootings.
The hold used on George Floyd was not a chokehold. Most cities don’t allow them already.
The Rats obviously want more inflammatory videos for a pretext to their rioting.
I think the simplest thing to say is that a Minneapolis Police Officer may have performed his job poorly.
I mean, ideally, people don’t die while being arrested.
Now, if the guy who died had health conditions, drugs in his system, COVID-19, then a jury may find that the police officer is not to blame. Maybe he didn’t perform his job poorly after all.
Or the jury may decide that the actions of the police officer caused the death. Maybe he did perform his job poorly.
But I don’t see that chokeholds are necessarily wrong.
And I certainly don’t see that the police officer’s action was fueled by race hatred.
This is all a mountain out of a molehill.
