I know a lot of “oaths” have evolved into innocuous idioms in our modern language such as “Gee Wiz” or “Jeeze”, or “Gosh” or even “Golly”.
“Bloody” is an oath in Britain, and you can see where that came from.
“Crikey” down under, evolved from “Christ”, and even “Jeepers Creepers” betrays its origins in its initial letters.
But...”For The Love of God” has no disguise. It is what it is, and , it is an oath about God’s most glorious attribute, His LOVE.
By using this oath to propagate hate is a really evil thing.
Even funnier than Dick Posthumus was Dick Mountjoy, the conservative California State Senator who ran against Feinswine in 2006. Mountjoy would have easily gotten my vote in the primary but there's no doubt that "Dick Mountjoy" sounds like a gay porn star name.

Easier said than done, 95% of institutes of "higher learning" in this country are run by liberal activists. I went to Columbia in Chicago and George W. Bush came in a distant third in the student poll, behind Nader and Gore.
Someone blamed all judges being from Ivy League law schools on why so many "conservative" SCOTUS judges turn liberal. Again, its almost impossible to avoid that. My likely pick for SCOTUS would have been one of the exceptions, though. Thomas Rex Lee graduated from Brigham Young University, one of only a handful of "big name" universities in this country that lean conservative. I mean, where else would they find prospective candidates? Bob Jones University? That would be a total non-starter.
