Horowitz: Arkansas Tyson Foods plants report 95% of coronavirus positives were asymptomatic
Conservative Review ^ | June 23, 2020 | David Horowitz

Posted on 06/24/2020 1:02:51 PM PDT by absalom01

Given that the majority of people who get the virus are asymptomatic, we can no longer assume that even the serology tests are capturing anywhere near the full number of people who already got the virus, because many who had the virus test negative for antibodies. Earlier this month, a study from the University of California found, “Growing evidence suggests that asymptomatic and mild SARS-CoV-2 infections, together comprising >95% of all infections, may be associated with lower antibody titers than severe infections.” They estimate that only 40% of asymptomatic patients would retain antibodies for 180 days, 60% of mildly symptomatic, and 95% of severe cases.

...

Thus, an unknown percentage of those who show up negative in serology tests likely had the virus but no longer present with antibodies. This is aside from the theory that some people who don’t present with symptoms never produced antibodies because T cells and B cells from the immune system warded off the virus. A brand-new study from Strasbourg University Hospital in France found that a majority of mildly symptomatic patients studied warded off the virus with T cells and did not produce antibodies. The researchers therefore conclude that “epidemiological data relying only on the detection of SARS-Cov2 antibodies may lead to substantial underestimation of prior exposure to the virus.”

While it is unclear whether these individuals remain immune to a secondary infection if they don’t have antibodies, what is clear is that exponentially more people likely had the infection. Which in turn means that the fatality rate is even lower than we think. Thus, the next time you see the media reporting on discovery of more cases without accompanying data on ICUs and fatalities, just know that their report is proving the opposite of their panic-driven headlines.

Hmmmm.....The counterpoint to this is that China continues to take extreme measures when they find an outbreak. They're not doing that to KO the Trump campaign, but because they think this is a very serious disease.

The media has stopped talking about fatality rates almost entirely. That’s telling.

China would possibly be willing to use extreme medieval measures such as wall people into their own house as what happened in the bubonic plague.

MAYBE China sucks at healthcare surrounding COVID-19.

1,000 out of 1,000 times I’ll take being in the US for my doctoring and healthcare rather than China.

This is the big lie from the beginning. These reported “cases” are almost entirely positives from testing. This is meaningless raw data without a context from which to interpret facts. How many of the daily spikes (if 2400 can be called a spike) were hospitalized? How many are on ventilators? How many have died? Put into a meaningful context, the mortality and the hospitalization rates are extremely low compared to the total positives and low compared to just the hospitalized of whom 95+ percent RECOVER. The old saying that the masses are asses is true, and they are easily fooled and easily panicked. This has been the 1938 War of the Worlds stupidity magnified a million-fold.

With more testing we’re finding more exposure, which makes for it’s fatality rate even lower that whet we last heard. We need to move past this and just accept COVID is staying with us as just another flu variant.

True. They’ve returned to the Janury and February “Katrina Narrative”, and are solely interested in spinning the story to hurt Trump in November.

They no longer take this seriously, if they ever did.

I think that these results are consistent with the results seen in 3 Kansas meat packing plants and the Lansing Correctional Facility (State Peniteniary). The Correction Facility had 838 infections with 4 deaths. All but 11 inmates have fully recovered. Dr. Fauci and Colonel Blix have not mentioned this use case. I wonder why?

Chinese tests producing false positives or a complete lie? Or a little of both?

They just throw out numbers of case spikes and leave the false impression that all of those people are dying.

And apparently we have a whole lot of people STOOOOOOOPID enough to buy it.

Outside of elderly and seriously sick people (heart disease, uncontrolled diabetes, severe obesity), the vast majority can clear this virus on their own, and without serious lasting consequences.

I dunno. I had what might have been a mild case of the coronavirus disease in March. When tested for antibodies (with the Abbott test) in early June, I was seronegative.

I concluded that I never had the coronavirus at all. But according to this article, I might have had it after all. ????

The CCP has been lying from the start. But, when you’re dealing with a known liar, you can’t listen to what they’re saying, but you should pay attention to what they’re doing.

They’re taking this seriously, so they definitely see a threat, and they’re taking their typical blunt instrument approach. Not something the west would want to emulate.

It’s clear that this is a serious threat to a vulnerable percentage of the population. It’s also clear that the vast majority can weather it.

It’s also true that a lot of the deaths could have been avoided. Cuomo and the northern governors murders thousands upon thousands of nursing home patients. These patients needlessly died.

Next, slapping people on ventilators caused a lot of unnecessary deaths. The death rate for Covid patients on ventilators was 88%. The normal death rate for ventilator patients is around 40%. Hospitals where paid twice as much to put patients on ventilators, so they did. It is suspected that build up of fluids in lungs from the virus cause these patients to die at twice the rate.

Than stopping or shutting down HCQ, Z-Pacs, and Zinc combo because Trump said something caused a lot more hospitizations (yes, it is an effective prophylactic).

I mention this because it drives home a point. Florida has over 23,000,000 people and not one died under 25. Over 80 deathrate is greater than 0-65 years old. If you are healthy under 65 chances are you will get sniffles or mild flu symptoms at the most.

Protect the elderly and come up with better treatment is all we ever needed to do.

I had the same thought myself.

Had a nasty cold first couple of weeks of March, after spending the past 3 years flying at least once a week.

If it can be cleared by T and B cells without even bothering to produce antibodies, that’s a story. The downside is that there’s no acquired immunity when/if this turns out to be an endemic seasonal disease.

After all, we’re all getting older, and sooner or later, we’ll enter the risk group. My solution is to go kyaking and get plenty of vitamin D, and some exercise.

I have felt in recent times that the Chinese reacted really hard all of a sudden, but from some epidemiologists they have known since Korea that its mostly elderly at risk of severe complications and death. I am also pretty sure that a depopulating nation has a high elderly population.

If the rumors are true then China was almost scorched earth in their response, including trapping people inside their own households.

Florida is testing all of the people in migrant labor camps and has seen similar results-—something like 70% of the workers and their families are testing positive with little or no symptoms.
