RE: It includes a wide variety of behaviors, attitudes and imaginations

That’s the problem — people think racism is whatever they want it to mean including merely OBSERVING that other races have certain PHYSICAL features that are undeniable with anyone with eyes to see.

I still believe we should stick to the dictionary definition.

When the average IQ is 81, they cannot think for themselves.

That certainly seems to be true based on actions and reality.

Is the "81 IQ" from the "Bell Curve" statistics?

>>>It’s especially troubling that 23% of Black voters — nearly 1 in 4 — don’t believe that most Americans want racial equality<<<

They don’t want Racial Equality, they want Racial Superiority with their Race making the Rules.

If anyone believes the crap going on today will help Race Relations, they are smoking Crack.

YES.

But this curve does not tell us if the curve is an INEVITABLE result of INHERENT GOD-GIVEN intellectual ability or a result of CULTURAL factors ( e.g. upbringing, values, etc. ). I personally think that the curve is NOT inevitable.

“...Because the OUTCOMES are UNEQUAL ….”

And that’s the problem!

What we really need are quotas (NOT REALLY hear me out on this!) and they’re enforced for everything. Since blacks are 13% of the population so 13% of the outcomes, INCLUDING SPORTS

I don’t think that would make them happy either!

I think it was Lincoln that something about a bad law where if passed should be enforced severely. That way everyone learns the lesson.

RE: Since blacks are 13% of the population so 13% of the outcomes,

Remember the Community Reinvestment Act and the Mortgage Crisis? We FORCED banks to give mortgages and loans to minorities ( yes, mostly blacks ) so that everyone ( regardless of income and ability to pay ) can afford to buy a house.

You know the rest of the story.

Positive discrimination (privilege) toward whites and negative discrimination (disadvantage) toward blacks are different sides of the same coin.

They both are the result of a group’s EARNED reputation based on reality.

Reality is that on AVERAGE whites have higher IQ, commit less crimes, are more conscientious than blacks. There are of course exceptions to that rule, but knowing nothing else about an individual it is human nature to initially judge that person based on his group. The old saying “you knew I was a snake before you took me in”.

So to the extent that there is some privilege in belonging to a particular group, it comes from the earned reputation of that group. For example, when it comes to sports blacks enjoy a privilege over whites.

If you want to change your group level of privileges you better put pressure on members of your own group to behave or perform better - ie, improve your group’s reputation.

This may or may not be feasible. If it’s not, the different groups probably won’t be able to peacefully coexist together,as we have been painfully witnessing for centuries and getting worse.

Just reality.

So, if a person ( regardless of race ) tells me to be extra careful if I were to walk or drive through the South Side of Chicago ( and we know its Demographics ), is it racist of him to tell me that?

And then “the political establishment & us (the voters)” lied to ourselves why things went bust!

“is it racist of him to tell me that?”

Yes, it’s racist AND correct.

It’s racist if racism is defined correctly.

Racism is simply recognizing certain reality based characteristic of a race. These characteristics could be positive or negative.

So you could say that saying that Chinese tend to be pretty smart is racist.

Then the Rev. Jesse Jackson is also racist. He said this:

But hang on.... I would not be told to be extra careful if I went to say Freeport, Long Island ( huge black middle class, home owning population ).

That observation on the South Side of Chicago is based more on STATISTICAL data, than race. I’d be told to be just as careful if I walked on the seedy side of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

“Then the Rev. Jesse Jackson is also racist.”

Yes, he recognizes certain realities about his own race and the white race and when his life is in danger he takes those realities seriously and into account.

“But hang on.... I would not be told to be extra careful if I went to say Freeport, Long Island ( huge black middle class, home owning population ).”

That’s because that is not a random sample of the black population, but a self-selected specific subset of the population with qualities that differ significantly from the average.

If one could select only blacks with those characteristics to be in this country there would be no discrimination to speak of. But we are forbidden to do that - we have to take the whole population.
