NBCUniversal has removed four episodes of 30 Rock from streaming services and syndication that feature characters in blackface.
The request for the removal of the episodes came from show co-creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.
As we strive to do the work and do better in regards to race in America, we believe that these episodes featuring actors in race-changing makeup are best taken out of circulation, said Fey in a statement. I understand now that intent; is not a free pass for white people to use these images. I apologize for pain they have caused. Going forward, no comedy-loving kid needs to stumble on these tropes and be stung by their ugliness. I thank NBCUniversal for honoring this request.
The episodes that were requested to be removed include the season 3 episode 2 titled Believe In The Stars, season 5 episode 10 titled Christmas Attack Zone as well as Season 6 episode 19, Live from Studio 6H and the east coast version of season 5 episode 4 The Live Show. These four episodes are in the process of being removed from NBCUniversals sales platform. They currently working with partners to remove the episodes from current runs. All episodes are expected to be removed from Hulu, Amazon Prime, iTunes and Google Play by this week.

I wonder how many of these episodes show her costar Alec Baldwin in black face?
Any technologically talented freepers want to locate and preserve these for posterity?
time to stop airing the movie “White Chicks”.
Todays comedy just isn’t very funny.
Remember that SNL skit with Eddie Murphy in whiteface, riding the bus?
It seems to me the point is to show the power of the Left to destroy anything it wants by calling it "racist".
Ironically, the original Amos and Andy were both white. While they performed primarily on the radio (in black voice) they did one film in blackface (Check and Doublecheck) which is pretty awful.
Next up: “All In the Family”, followed by “The Jeffersons.”
Perhaps the whole show and its creators should be shamed and removed. RATS are the real racists.
Its something I dont really understand either.
I mean, there is a black guy right there at the same time as the blackface white guy and they are both in the same skit attempting entertainment simultaneously but only the white guy in blackface is being the racist.
Is that right?
This "black-voice" thing, I see white democrat politicians do this all the time. Is that racist too?!?
No more showing of Cheers Episodes, and fire Whoopi from The View.
Come on now - They only did this 4 times on purpose and didn’t know that it was offensive to the black community. We need to forgive them because they gave a big donation to BLM and they hate Trump. -sarc
If they are on Blu-ray or DVD it would be easy to do so. I don't have the show in my collection and don't think I ever saw an episode. I always assumed it was leftist crap.
This kind of censoring is why it is good to have physical copies of movies and shows rather than digital copies that can be pulled by the commissars.
its probably on youtube
I had no idea Tina Fey was one of the producers of that show.
Honestly, it was one of those shows I didn’t watch—and I usually liked most of the actors. But over acting and slapstick is not something I usually like.
I won’t miss the “blackface” episodes. (four of them? That seems like a “thing” not a one-off. Whats up with that Tina?)
I’m happy to say that I never saw a single episode of this show.
I can't remember the last time NBC was even on in my house.
