So far there is no political majority that can be cobbled together to defund NPR i.e. PBS & that’s the bottom line. As much as I would like to see it happen it’s not going to. With the diversity of cable stations PBS is an anachronism. However its embedded everywhere, local politicians are constantly leveraging it to give themselves exposure - e.g., hosting the beg-a-thons and other touchy-feely things. Plus everyone’s ( meaning suburban soccer moms!) convinced there would be mass illiteracy & cultural deserts if PBS\PBR was shut down.

Let McConnell do what he’s doing best - judges! Far more important & more long lasting.

Sesame Street pushes pederasty and protesting these days.

Pull the plug. It is a billion dollar franchise.

The public doesn’t need to give them a dime of taxpayer money.
