I wonder why they wanted to guard him? I assume either they want to sue, or to abuse him.

Ramsey county is St Paul but the events occurred in Hennepin county. Why is he in the Ramsey county jail?

If this is true...always a question with the Star-Tribune...you just have to love Minneapolis and St. Paul. Both of these cities have been OWNED by Democrats for three to four decades.
The Minneapolis Police Department has been Democrat-controlled all that time. Democrats have supervised the training.
Only in a Democrat controlled, advertised and trained venue could a supervisor use race as the criterion for an assignment.

As Chauvin arrived, all officers of color were ordered to a separate floor, and a supervisor told one of them that, because of their race, they would be a potential liability around Chauvin, according a copy of racial discrimination charges obtained by the Star Tribune. I understood that the decision to segregate us had been made because we could not be trusted to carry out our work responsibilities professionally around the high-profile inmate solely because of the color of our skin, wrote one acting sergeant, who is black. I am not aware of a similar situation where white officers were segregated from an inmate. This could not be a better illustration of the point I was making on another posting earlier today
.. What the response to the death of George Floyd has done is create a completely new world of racism where and when it didnt exist at all before.

If you are seeking it you can find racism in everything.
