**I was surprised that Atty. Gen. Barr allowed himself top get caught up in a poorly handled job termination just the other day. Atty. Geoffrey Berman was REFUSING to leave his job, even after Barr made it clear they wanted Berman gone.
I expected Barr to be more careful than to let this episode of Sour Grapes interfere with White House agenda.
Sessions fired SDNY U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara when he refused to resign. Berman was Bharara’s replacement. Now Graham has said he won’t move forward on Jay Clayton’s nomination to replace Berman until Senators Gillibrand and Schumer give their approval. I didn’t know those two ran the show.
