Women account for 55% of the more than 20.5 million workers who lost their jobs in April due to the coronavirus pandemic, causing some experts to call this recession — the worst since the Great Depression — the “Shecession.”
“One of the biggest impacts of this pandemic is the loss of jobs, the loss of income, which has been disproportionately affecting women,” said Carole Biewener, professor of economics and women’s and gender studies at Simmons University in Boston. “And that’s unusual in a recession.”

Jobs were list due to government policy and mandates that caused job losses.
I hope they go back to their homes and take care of their children, husbands, and homes like the way God made them and meant for them.
In a time when the America we grew up with seems to be crumbling day by day, it’s good to know that we can still depend on women and minorities being hardest hit...

For all the talk about equality in the workplace, I read a report like this and interpret it to mean that a lot of women simply gravitate to “non-essential” jobs.
I think you have a good point. I am still alive but hanging on.
God forbid we ever see a liberal woman running this country. The toxicity will permeate through gender ridicule. It will be many TV ads on steroids. And not just the obvious in that the husband will be mocked for being “First Man.” Basic grammar will be rewritten. When Trump delivered his speech last night, he mentioned a hypothetical about a woman being alone and with her husband away and the police defunded, who would she call for help. He later modified that to include “young/old” “man/woman” perhaps because it would have been called sexist but that type of speech from a liberal woman president will be reversed. “The woman is away on a business trip. The man is home alone without her to protect him...” Probably shouts of “Woooohoooo” from the mostly female audience will follow. It will be one big “View.”

A lot more men work outside in construction and delivery. Those jobs kept happening. A lot more women work indoors. Those jobs stopped happening. And it is a 55/45 split. 55% women out of work. 45%men out of work. It is not that big of a deal.
