I would put stickers all over by truck and be as outspoken as anyone except that our own police force would put me in jail, and ruin me financially when the first bully tried to beat me up.

Yes, we do. This is why I bring up Phyllis Schlafly, because she recognized the same thing. So she self-organized, and did it herself to become the lead organizer. She stood up and led when nobody else wanted to, or was afraid to. Either way the end result is pretty much the same.

I disagree. He has outed the Republican know-nothing do-nothing wing. Inter alia., he has outed the Right’s Quislings (e.g., the Weekly Standard), rocked the establishment (the Chamber of Commerce, the Business Roundtable), pushed back against Obamacare and Common Core, and has made serious inroads into the Black community. He has threatened the Party’s internal enemies (in one important case, the Murkowski).
The Republican Party has not committed suicide precisely because under Trump it has unearthed the shallow ideology of the treacherous Wall Street and plutocrat circles. Without a doubt, it is now the Party of Trump. And he has caused a seachange; it is now firmly the party of the Middle Class, the farmer, the laborer, the small businessman, the retiree. And it will be as such long into the future.
If I could ask one thing of Trump, I would urge the complete destruction of the American public education system as it now exists. It is the cancer that eats as the soul of America, and the teacher unions and education leadership must be destroyed.

The destruction of the past texts, dictionaries, bibles, art, music, literature, companies, etc. is deliberate and it has been seen in Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Iran, Germany and other nations where despots rose to power. Crush anything that doesn’t conform to the new thinking.
There is also something to be said as to when and under what circumstances courage is wise and effective and when it is stupid and ineffective.
