For years, I thought it was the Chicago Tribune, ran a complete right hand column on the days/weekend shootings and deaths therefrom which would then lead into front section details on the mayhem.
I just checked and they seem to have changed their format.
Whichever paper it was it didn’t help or stop the violence. Probably some editor decided it was a waste of time and ink.
The Trib stopped the coverage a couple of years ago. They also had a spreadsheet where you could find just about any specific statistic you wanted.
