You've reminded me of a govt health dept. radio PSA that airs at odd hours in which:
A mother lies to her daughter to get her to traipse up and down stairs, twice, to get the fat slob of a kid some exercise. (she's looking for a blouse, mother knows where it is, but deceives her, and takes credit for her creative genius.)
Moral of their story is deceit is useful.
