Petition Calls for Columbus, Ohio, to Be Renamed ‘Flavortown’ in Honor of Guy Fieri

The controversy over depictions of Christopher Columbus in Columbus, Ohio, has led to an online petition calling for the city to be renamed Flavortown in honor of Guy Fieri.

The city of Columbus announced Thursday that the statue of Columbus outside of City Hall would be removed, and officials are asking the Arts Commission to consider changes to the city’s seal, flag and other symbols.

Also part of revisionism. Note that a Russian city where a very famous and costly battle was fought in WWII is now called Volgograd.

I think that it was Volgograd before it was Stalingrad. Also Leningrad was Saint Petersburg before it was Leningrad.

You may be right about that first one. But if memory serves, St. Petersburg was briefly renamed Petrograd before it was renamed Leningrad.
