Bastards!
Thats my favorite spot in GG park. On the left the Academy of Science, on the right the Art museum. At the other end is the bandstand.
A nice little zone of culture.
We used to take the kids there every other weekend or so.
They would climb up on Don Quixote and Sanch Panza (who look up at their creator).
I am here now, 10,000 miles away, and not there.
If I were there that night - it would have been a good night to die, as a man must.

I walked through that section of GG Park yesterday (Thursday). I admit that the thought occurred to me that those statues were not long for this world. But I didn’t expect them to come down in 24 hours. God help us.

It is so horrifying to see everything that is beautiful and graceful and enjoyable in our lives being wiped out before our very eyes, and with no resistance from the people charged with protecting it. How did we get to this point?
