....Instead, more than two years later, Trump is just starting the nomination of his own choice....

MAYBE, team President Trump followed this guy around and mapped out the rats nest of deep state connections

This guy Berman is a registered member of the Deep State and he has his papers to prove it. He is a regular attendee at all the elite cocktail parties held by the Deep State in Manhattan. He is a favorite son of the powerful Deep State members of the Wall Street financial crowd that Trump has caused a lot of heart burn since taking office. Berman spent his time chasing President Trump’s allies instead of trying to skim the scum off the swamp. Now he must reap what he has sowed, but he will remain on the A-list of cocktail parties. He has a lifetime membership card to prove this also.

I forgot to mention that life is getting more and more complicated for the Wall Street Deep Staters. They are losing their fair-haired boy Berman, and now find themselves having to deal with likes of AOC on their preferred Democrat side of the aisle. They are having to write checks to support AOC’s opponent in the Dem primary. Just when they thought they could take a break, along comes President Trump and out goes WitchHillary.

However, Trump could have appointed his own U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, which is one of the most politically important Districts in the USA.

Berman was Trump’s guy - Trump interviewed him- and put in the spot by Sessions.

...under Federal law he can serve in an interim capacity in this role because as SEC chair he was already confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

Because of Senate inaction/collusion, Trump is limited to the pool of loyalists already confirmed?

Makes me wonder how McConnell is getting all these judges confirmed, considering that we cannot seem to count on Senate confirmations for other positions?

________

Is this why Trump chose the SEC head to replace Berman?

I apologize for the negativity. I know it isn’t helpful.

The left’s sudden blitz has gotten me down. That and a home refi that’s taking three months. That’s my excuse, anyway.

I need to look on the positive. Nobody I know has gotten sick with the virus. The refi is schedules to close on Tuesday (we’ll see, LOL!). I’m starting a new business. And Joe Biden’s mental capacity is fading for all to see.

Positive. Stay positive, Jeff.

No problem, bro. We can all feel overwhelmed with the daily drumbeat of negative news. The reality being that it is a very small cadre of elites who push the daily narrative.

Yea, it’s been tough the past few weeks. I actually don’t mind the Supreme’s going the other way on big cases, though, as the otherwise lazy Republicans (not us, of course), now have a good reason to vote in November, rather than think (rationalize) that the courts are under control and will stay that way for another 4 years.

In my own opinion, if we are to have another civil war, it will take a Democrat president and Democrat control of the courts - if they get both, the country is FINISHED, so anything that helps in either of these is worth the relatively small price of defeat on certain cases.

Thanks for the response...most of us are frustrated as the gears of justice and other items seem to be grinding a lot slower than we would wish.

President Trump has accomplished so much, against odd that would have totally stopped any other President, that it ticks me off when folks appear to be slamming him for some of the items that will necessarily take longer to take care of - I really believe a second term will see much of what we are hungering for come to fruition.

I have generally agreed with much of what you post and can understand when frustration takes hold.

I contacted my mortgage company (the credit union I've used since '86) about a refi a couple months ago and got a couple widely spaced letters saying they got the request but things were 'on hold" due to the virus". Finally got a secure message and phone number to call and am now waiting for a rep to get back with me...was supposed to be by COB yesterday so I'll have to call on Monday.

Hope you manage to "stay positive" and that the refi goes well....we need to stick together because the dems will never relent and always seem to be a lot more "energetic" in their efforts to take us places we don't want to go....

I sent $20 to "Bikers for Trump" today as they were trying to raise $2500 to help take care of each other during today's rally...it made me feel better for taking at least some sort of action which will have more effect than the words I/we usually consider our "resistance" to the Left's evil.

Be blessed

Neither mortgage company holding the notes on our home listed the loans with the credit bureaus, so we had to obtain documentation from them directly.

The mortgage company on our second sold the loan four months ago and went out of business, just closed their doors. We always paid our bill before the 27th of the month due date, but the documentation they sent to the company they sold the loan to showed a due date of the first, making it appear we were habitually late. We had to send them our bank invoices for the past year to prove we paid on time.

My beef is with the refi credit union. They continually waited until the very last day to check into things. They just expected everything to be normal. I had to get online and get on the phone several times to obtain documentation.

But, everything is complete and the title company is expected to call Monday to set up a date to sign the final papers. We did get a much lower interest rate which lowered our payment, were able to pull enough out to clear ALL of our debt, and were able to leave plenty of equity in the house.

So while everything seems to be turning to horse Obama nationally, we have been blessed personally.

That’s what’s odd, Berman was picked to replace the deep state former AG Bharara and was a part of the Trump camp until last night. He was handpicked by Trump to replace Bharara due to his loyalty as a former law partner of Rudy Giuliani and a campaign donor to Trump’s 2016 campaign. Berman served on Trump’s presidential transition team and Trump personally interviewed Berman before agreeing to nominate him to the New York position. The head of that office has jurisdiction over Trump’s literal home turf, it’s a big deal... it’s just not clear what is going on.

Maybe Giuliani is just bad at vetting...

As this article from 2014 shows (predates Trump’s presidency) the Deep State is exposed as best the author can figure out and one of the branches of the Deep State is the SDNY which seems to operate independently of the Executive branch.

https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3794125/posts

The SDNY has been trying to soft coup Trump and failing that to sabotage him and hamstrung him. A soft coup is when they attempt to remove the leader is done via internal govt procedures in a power struggle.

Read the article it presages everything done to Trump and predicted which govt branches would do it - including the FISA court.

Next time an outsider wins they need to root canal the SDNY and the branches of govt mentioned in this article.

And this article is from Bill Moyers.com not some far out Alex Jones like conspiracy cite.

Jeff, you are a gem.

What a great apology and a look at how many of us are feeling right now.

As bleak as it seems, it WILL get better. It always does.

Cheers.

The thing that Trump had not figured out was that DC swamp critters are not human, they are lower than pond scum.
____________

I think the people in Washington, D.C. are very different from the businessmen and construction companies President Trump used to deal with. They got things done, and if they didn’t run their business well, they went out of business. Politicians don’t have to run anything well. All they have to do take some bribes to do what is asked of them while bribing voters with goodies using taxpayer money.

You don’t suppose that Barr was trying to give this treasonous slime an easy out? He could quietly resign, “for family reasons” or be fired and indicted for sedition, corruption, and wind up at the Battery at the end of a rope??

No.
