Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen told federal investigators he overheard a July 2016 phone call between Stone and then-candidate Trump in which Stone claimed to have spoken with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Stone claimed the website planned to release a batch of information but that he “did not know what the content of the materials was.”

Yep. Sounds exactly like the overconvenient type of lie that Mueller’s team would have pressed for—and scumbag Cohen would have obligingly generated for them.
