It’s all crap, and too many white people are afraid to call it out. “Racist” is a slur against white people.
D leaning sheep have been told for decades that R leaning individuals are defacto racists, and they never gave a thought to their own racism. Now they're having to think about it, as their own monkey-flung aspersions boomerang back onto them.
While Rs have long ago thought it all out, logically rejected it, grown tired of it, and become mostly immune to the Ds "racist" name-calling, the Ds think it's something new to the world now that it comes their way. With showy acts of contrition, they once again believe they have recovered their self-affirmed saint-hood, once again they fail to recognize their own sins, and once again they can continue believing in their tribal superiority.
white privilege properly understood is not an assault on the White Race. More properly it could be defined as “white advantage”, the advantage a white person has in an interaction based on the color of skin.
There are many advantages. Skin Color, weight, height, eye color, hair color. It is said that while a jury is more likely to believe a white witness than a black witness, the bias is more pronounced between tall and short. In fact, in hiring/firing and salary, the height bias is greater than the race bias and the gender bias.
Looks is also a major bias factor, especially the symmetry of a face, and the absense of scars.
lack of disability is also an advantage, as is the ability to speak, and being in shape.
Having two parents is an advantage when young, as is how much money your parents have, but this is a different kind of advantage than the intrinsic advantage of looks.
Interestingly, the shade of skin color is a clear bias factor even among blacks. While a black person is more likely to trust another black person than a white person, their trust goes down as skin color darkens. Light-colored black people mistrust dark-skinned black people.
None of this is surprising, we all have experienced it. You may be poor, you may have lost your parents when you were young, you may have had medical issues, or other life setbacks.
But if you walk into a typical store at the same time as a black person, and pay CLOSE attention, it will become clear to you what it means when we say “white advantage”. Not always, obviously
When people say “white privilege”, just say, “You mean benefits of Protestant work ethic, don’t you,” back.
tell that to jesse jackson. the guy who feels safer passing a white guy on the stairs of a building than a black guy.
the biases are there for a reason.
you see a gruff thuggish individual and you act accordingly. white, asian, hispanic or black. i’d keep distance from anyone who looks like bad news and is deliberately projecting that image. or playing thuggish music of hate and violence, from death metal to rap music touting violence and murder.
I’m Catholic and I’d say that.
The Protestants instilled that ethic from way back when they arrived here.
Other groups who came here saw it and the smart ones emulated it.
The dumb ones didn’t.
No doubt in my mind that you’re right. People treat people differently based on physical appearance, including skin color. How this became an issue for government to fix, I don’t know, as I also have no doubt in my mind that it cannot be fixed.
That’s why American concepts of freedom of association, free speech, freedom of religion, and private property rights are necessary if we want a civil society. The more government meddles in areas where it shouldn’t be, the more conflict it will create.

Geeze, for racists, white people sure have tried hard to do a lot of good things for black folks. And all just to get poked in the eye and slapped in the face.
Are you so brainwashed that you do not know that Whiteness is a recessive genetic trait? How can we have white advantage when some generations in the future white people will cease to exist because we will all be homogenized into one dark skinned race? Any real racist is betting on the losing team. Any Black person that is not aware of this needs to wake up to reality.
I once told a racist coworker of a Science Fiction story I cobbled together on the spot. Stealing from H. G. Wells' "In the Days of the Comet", I told him about a comet tail that the Earth passed through and made all White Men impotent due to their skin not being resistant to the comet's odd radiation spectrum. When the scientists determined what had happened to the White birth rate, White men were begging Black men to take their daughters just so their progeny would not die out completely from history. He was gobsmacked and agreed it was food for thought. Racism is illogical and just more fake news.

Long before ‘white privilege’ was popular, I was pointing out the racism against whites. While at San Francisco State University back before and during the first Gulf War. I would create custom posters, place them in strategic places, and then watch from nearby for the wackos’ reactions. My all time favorite was my creation ‘White Men Can’t Jump, and Black Men Can’t Add.’ Oh, the humanity! They would shout, yell, and tear them down. A week or two later I would begin again
