Surprised a foundation dedicated to supporting the police would allow itself to be associated with this pathetic attempt to “boost morale.”
Don’t the politicians realize how deeply the emerging sense of betrayal among police officers must be? Do they honestly think $500 is going to do anything except infuriate them?
Down payment on their tombstone.
Sure, bribe them with $500, but are you willing to make the job safer for them? Ask any law enforcement person if they’d rather have a raise, or safer working conditions, and they’ll tell you they want to be safe on the job, and return home to their families after their shift each day. $500 isn’t going to help you if you’re dead, or you’re being prosecuted for doing your job. Atlanta, as well as the rest of the liberal-run cities that are defunding their police departments, and the media, have put targets on the backs of each, and every police officer in this country. They’ve announced it’s open season on cops. Any blood that is shed, is on their hands.
Most Atlanta PD officers are frantically filling out applications for positions outside Fulton county. You won’t get that on the news.
