The problem in the past, (think back to the 2017 inauguration), was that the Dems own the territory that the punks do their dirty deeds in. Their network is set up with lawyers at the ready to get them bailed out immediately and then the sympathetic DA will dismiss the charges. Repeat, rinse, repeat.
AG Barr and PDJT saw that and they have made it a point to look for federal crimes that can be brought, even if there are also state/local charges pending. Take it into federal court where the US Attorney is a AG Barr employee.
The only wild card is the judge, which PDJT and McConnell have done a pretty good job of putting in place conservative judges but not all are replaced yet.

Hetznecker most likely believes a local prosecution will end in a misdemeanor plea with a sentence of probation or community service, courtesy of our “progressive” DA. There is nothing to prevent the feds from arresting and prosecuting her for her federal crimes. Happy to see the feds get involved and file these well-deserved charges against a woman who seems to be nothing more than a domestic terrorist.
