Australia exposes China’s many hidden hands

SYDNEY —China’s state-owned enterprises may be curbing investment in Australia is dropping as relations between the two countries deteriorate, but there are rising concerns that they may be stepping up community infiltration instead.

Reports suggest that the Covid-19 crisis may have led to an upsurge in activity by agencies run by Beijing and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) such as the United Front, a body President Xi Jinping once referred to as his “magic weapon.”

“The Chinese Communist Party is strengthening its influence by co-opting representatives of ethnic minority groups, religious movements, and business, science and political groups in China and overseas,” said Alex Joske, a researcher at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute in Canberra, in a provocative new report on China’s activities in Australia.

“The CCP’s attempts to interfere in diaspora communities, influence political systems and covertly access valuable and sensitive technology will only grow as tensions between China and countries around the world develop,” he added.

Sounds like Australia is now, doing good things with their membership in the 5 Eyes program.

They wasted a lot of money and time trying to prove that Trump was in bed with Russia/Russia.

Now, they are going after the real enemy of the Free World, the ChiComs!

Given the worldwide protests run by BLM and Antifa across only western civ countries and their allies (including japan of all places) it makes sense that China would be behind it (along with Disney, Nike and the NFL kowtowing)

But I’d need to see hard proof.

Do that and you have instant WW3

I wonder if Mossad’s help might be needed in the near future (maybe I should not make mention of something like that here)?

Australia is in a bad spot with China. A very bad spot. They are reliant on exports to China and China owns a lot of stuff inside Australia.

Sky News has been quite interesting on this topic. Many of their leaders are firmly in bed with the CCP and their entanglement with China is far worse than ours.

Mel Gibson warned them back in 1997.

Maybe it was a bad idea for the ChiComs to stop buying grain and beef? Or maybe it was the gratuitous, sneering insults?

I guess communists are desperate. Threats without consequence and insults without provocation do not sit well with free people over whom one has no real control.

Another reason to discount the *progs are winning* tropes.

A woman we know had a son who had been a business consultant in Oz for over 10 years. He had an ag degree from UC Davis and a MBA from Pepperdine.

A year ago he sold all of his property in OZ and was ending his consulting business and planning to come back here before Thanksgiving/ Christmas there.

His sister is married to a guy who would be classified as a spook for Homeland Sec. on the west coast and travels all over the Pac area. This guy told his BIL not to pull out of Oz yet. He said the new PM and government was very anti ChiCom and pro business and pro Trump.

So this young man is still there and doing very well. He jokes with his mom that his go back home bag is still packed with an open ended one way airline ticket.

Recently, an article showed that Oz was attracting more millionaires leaving their homelands than any other country.

He said President Trump is relating very well with the new government.

“They (Australia) are reliant on exports to China”

...and China depends on mineral imports from Australia, such as iron.

China relies on bullying and corrupting countries, one by one, to get its way.

But they have accumulated enemies, and alienated major relationships (like Australia) in the process.

Consensus is growing that the oppressive communist dictatorship in China can no longer be treated as just another country, that plays by the same rules. They don’t. They are a unique, and very active, threat to free countries everywhere.

Read articles supporting this.

OZ sells to a lot of the world. I have friends in GODZONE who are actively predisposed to the Chinese menace.

To now them is to distrust them, IMO.

Not sure if the Abo or Maori movements in OZ & NZ are going to be as manipulated as the US blacks.

Final thought: Australia was populated by convicts and the indentured poor, who encountered a very harsh land, with the majority of the interior barely habitable. Maybe the coastal cities are effete, but the interior isn’t. Not sure about the NW, but I’ve been in the NE and outside the tourist towns, it is pretty raucous.

Not a lot of white guilt there.

The reality that they are back in line with the 4 other Five Eye countries, tells me all I need to know.

At one time the Aussie PM, in 1973, then, did not know about the Five Eyes agreement.

Even Australia’s prime minister in 1973 reportedly did not know of its existence. ... divided responsibilities between the Five Eyes nations, establishing a secret ... employee non-disclosure agreements were also standardised and enforced; and ... economic purposes – most of them reflecting US political interests at the time.
