Exactly. We’re testing more people, so more people are testing positive. No increase in hospitalizations or deaths, just increase in number of pos. cases.
We had a case here a couple months back. An elderly lady was admitted to one of the nursing homes with terminal cancer. Her condition deteriorated quickly, and she was transferred soon after to Hospice to die.
Sometime before she entered the nursing home, she was exposed to the Covid virus, and while she was in the nursing home, she tested positive for the virus.
She eventually died at hospice from her terminal cancer.
Cause of death was reported as: Covid-19 infection.
I checked Fla on the Covid Tracking Project site. It has been running an average of 100 civic hospitalizations ccx a day for about a week. Deaths are up a tick. For the last week the positive to tests rate has been between 6%-9% with the higher number in the last three days. So the increases are real, not just result of testing.
