Hundreds of community members and those within the FSU athletics program gathered at the iconic, symbolic "Unconquered" statue on Langford Green Saturday for a unity march to bring attention to racial inequality in the United States. Initiated by Cory Durden and supported by head coach Mike Norvell, both took the opportunity to address the crowd and call for support before the march.

Florida State University representatives from the Athletics Program matched in the streets of Tallahassee. BLM representatives were present, along with the chants “No Justice, No Peace.”

My alma mater isn’t the same school I attended all those years ago.

“Know justice? No peace!”
“No justice? Know peace.”

Indeed.

There is going to be a very large turnout among young whites and blacks. We will need every vote in November.

Actually these recently converted white people of all ages are idiots and I hope they don’t sink us.

Glad they decided not to commit to winning football games. I guess they’ve embraced losing seasons.

“Except for perhaps the Business School, FSU is a communist’s paradise.”

I have had some interaction with the FSU/FAMU as a local employer’s liaison. (Just twice.) I found the obvious politics in their engineering department nauseating. Having lived near professors and employees my impression is they are 100% unicorn poop eating liberals.

The local population is insanely pro-FSU football. The entire town shuts down for home games and it is wise to avoid driving anywhere near the stadium on game days because you can get caught in traffic for extended times. As long as the team is winning they could eat live puppies on TV and not affect the attendance.

White people need to stop supporting racist athletics like football and basketball at the college and pro level. Paying your own executioner.

Any Republicans out there still watching sports on TV have become this crowd’s enablers.

That’s almost every university in the country these days.

ALL of us are subjected to at least some forms of discrimination as we go through life. Privileged millionaire professional football players may see it when they are arrested for driving drunk at night. Privileged college football players may also see it when they are arrested for driving drunk at night. Effete white college students may see it when they are arrested for driving drunk at night, too, or they may also see it when they are found walking around at night in places where they are unwelcome. There countless other ways as well.

It’s part of life. What’s not part of life is blaming discrimination for our own failures. We all experience failures, too. The successful among us, regardless of our skin color, change our own behavior to gain a better chance of success. We don’t futilely attempt to change society instead. There are more than enough ways we change our own behavior that actually will work.

They certainly have since they got rid of Bobby Bowden.
Guess it is past time for me to support all Florida colleges.

So ironic, if Democrats ran the state of Florida when Jameis Winston was arrested... he would have gotten no due process and still be sitting in jail right now. Because #believewomen.

I imagine we're going to see that across the SEC. Going to have some time freed up this Fall aren't we!

It wasn’t enough for BLM to ruin pro football, they had to ruin college football as well. My position for me personally is this... to support or have anything to do with organizations that pander to the thuggish mob called BLM is to support thuggery and mob rule behavior. It has become a very long list of organizations I’ll have nothing to do with and in fact, it has to be recognized that it won’t be possible to avoid them all.... but I’ll do my best.
