I was thinking about how Mitt Romney seemed to deliberately tank his Presidential campaign after a stong performance in the initial debate.
Makes you wonder if someone from Obama’s campaign “whispered” something into his ear.
Just before barack was sworn in I remember reading an article on the back page of a news paper about George Bush’s surveillance of incoming foreign calls.
The libs went totally berserk over that but the Surpreme court found it to be legal
I thought to myself, uh oh

Homeland Security, Patriot Act, constant war setting...when you can justify about anything in the name of “National Security” there’s no limits to the mischief that can be committed.
If that were the case--and I'm not saying it is--the Candy Crowley display at the debate was a feint, a contrived bit of drama to provide cover for his loss.
And yet:
Donald Trump won the election and has so far, at great expense to himself, the office,the American people and the country, held on to power and support.
Even with this far-reaching, sophisticated operation and the enthusiastic compliance of the media, DJT has favorable numbers consistent with re-election and the support of the American people.
Since this plot was first uncovered, we have had: impeachment, pandemic and civil unrest resulting in death and property destruction and the impoverishment of millions of Americans. At great financial and human cost, our POTUS remains standing, as does our (albeit damaged) country.
The prize for defeating Donald Trump and the United States of America must be vast, for so much effort and such blatant disregard for any and all consequences.
They would burn it all down to rule in hell, even when it means the majority of the citizens would be motivated to resist them unto death.
The mind just boggles.

I’m not sure the produce manager is still writing now. His early posts relied on inside information from LEOs and focused on local crime. Later the writing changed dramatically.
Knowing it was federal “contractors”, outside government with access to the system, doing the unauthorized searches, the question becomes: who were the contractors?

Find those contractors. They know all about the extent of the targeting and they will talk when squeezed.

I will sum up the gist of it, people did some wrong stuff but no one will be charged for committing a crime. The AG has important stuff on his plate and doesn’t have time for small stuff. Besides we can’t find a prosecutor that will take the case. (Actually that may be true in DC)

This kind of “whispering” has probably happen countless times in recent years. Although Republicans have a long history of weakness and appeasement it was always hard to understand such willingness to cave in recent years. Now we know why.
