Good analysis. November seems far away, and the Dems are openly burning, looting and killing. It’s difficult to imagine what more can happen.
Anyone who thinks there will be a return to “business as usual”, a world where Mitt Romney could be President, is high on something.
The days of the “incremental change” efforts with the GOPe who have consistently creeped left in the name of bi-partisanship are over.
It is clear that they believe they can do it all in one election now. They are pledging this. Look no further than the legislation Pelosi introduces that is thousands of pages. The GOPe and even Trump are caving because they say we need whatever the original purpose of the bill was - PPP or defense spending. Meanwhile, the other 90% of the bill that has nothing to do with the name of the bill makes radical change.
We always say every election is the most important one, but we have NEVER faced an opposition party like this. We have NEVER seen radicalism like this in congress, in our media, and in our public discourse.
America has wittingly or unwittingly curbed the party in power in the past by having a divided system of government that forced the parties to find common ground or compromise.
Many seem to believe that is how our system is supposed to work (look at AG Barr’s remarks last week) and it has been true in the past.
However, I would ask, how can we compromise with the modern left? I no longer recognize the democrat party. We have tried to compromise for decades and where has it gotten us? Do they compromise? No, they are going to try and impeach the President again. They are going for all the marbles in one election and they will do whatever it takes - shut the country down, burn it down, and win by any means possible.
They are hellbent on having absolute power.
