I see a drunk ass black man fighting them then stealing the policeman's tazer and trying to use it on one of them, and may have even succeeded.
Good job officers at shooting his sorry ass. Wait in a few days I can't wait to see the dead dude's criminal record I know it's as big as my butt.

I just watched passerby video of the fight and the video of him fleeing then turning toward with taser pointed in the LEO direction.

If the perp hit and disabled the officer with the taser, he could grab his weapon. This is a perfectly good shoot.

looks to me like the perp shot the taser- you can see a flash from the taser when he turns and points it at them- it’s a quick flash- but it’s there- had to watch it a couple of times to make sure- sure enough- it’s there-
It’s weak. Probably justifiable, but just barely. It will bring the officer months of heartache. So much better if he just let the suspect go.
Looking at the struggle, it appears one cop failed to get him under control on the ground because he was reluctant to put the suspect in a chokehold.
You can see him with his right arm only loosely around the suspect’s neck and the left arm trying to get hold of the suspect’s shoulder and arm, appearing to try to get him under control without using a chokehold.
The failure to put the suspect in a chokehold allowed the suspect to wriggle free and grab the taser from the other officer.
The safety of other civilians is at stake with a crazed man running loose holding a taser. You can have him attack someone in their car to get their behicle and then the mayhem. This a good shoot, a bad ending for someone who played stupid games and got the ultimate stupid prize.
This is going to be awful.

He was fighting like he was on meth, IMHO.
The officer probably won’t even be charged. The mayor knows it and that’s why the quick firing idea. Doesn’t matter for Atlanta, welcome back to hell.
Good analysis by you. If this cop is brought to trial (and he probably will be) the prosecution will argue that a taser is not a lethal weapon. And so the black guy should not have been shot.
Will a jury buy that? It all depends on who is on that jury.
