NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg warned Saturday that China’s increasing influence had created a “fundamental shift in the global balance of power” that should not be overlooked.

In an interview with Germany’s Welt am Sonntag newspaper, that was released in advance, the Norwegian official said that Beijing had the second-largest defense budget in the world after the United States, and was investing heavily in nuclear weapons and long-range missiles that could reach Europe.

“One thing is clear: China is coming ever closer to Europe’s doorstep,” he said. “NATO allies must face this challenge together.” […]

Stoltenberg stressed that no member country was “directly” threatened by the Asian powerhouse, but he did flag several concerns, which he said required a strong NATO response.

He noted Beijing was investing heavily in European infrastructure and cyberspace, as well as expanding its presence in Africa, the Arctic and the Mediterranean. …

We can fight them now, or fight them later. I think its better to have an economic war then a hot war.

In other words, the United States must spend more money on defense while we in the EU continue to fund our silly social experiments.

Remember something:

Angela Merkle is from East Germany, the Commie side. She’s no Helmut Kohl. And she is the de facto leader of the EU.

I’m glad DJT is pulling troops. He can pull them all for as much as I care. Let that dingbat spend her own money to protect her own country. Our debt is more than paid.

She is way too cozy with the CCP for my tastes.

While part of me would welcome US troops in Poland, I don’t want to see Polish culture further ruined by an infusion of what stands for US Culture today.

I remember 3 years ago when the media told me Trump was an idiot and NATO was the smartest/greatest.

This is what winning looks like

Allowing Germany to rearm would be a mistake.

I remember back when Germany was about to reunite, Dennis Miller made the comment...German reunification: I view this in much the same way I view a possible Dean Martin - Jerry Lewis reconciliation: I never really enjoyed their work, and I’m not sure I need to see any of their new stuff.

It wasn’t US culture that turned Germany into what it is socially today; it was German culture that infiltrated the US. (Consider where leftism really started.)

Letting the EU do as it pleases is exactly what the EU wants. The very notion of the EU is to create an anti-American empire.

CNN is what Ruins the world’s view of the US.

Germans I talk to almost daily have had almost zero interactions with the 10 of thousands of US Soldiers in Germany, but their opinions of events/culture in the US all comes through a CNN filter.

A US airbase in Poland would be good for everyone, especially if it’s moved from western Europe to there.

And now the US is exporting it right back to Europe.

The UK didn’t have these problems until BLM came along. Sure there were racial issues before, but BLM has taken it to a whole new level over there.

That’s internationalized and blamed on the USA. Helped along in particular by fellow traveler Obama, of course.

Here’s the problem.

The Rats get the White House, then they tell Poland if they want our bases there, they’d better be more gay-friendly and let in more Middle Eastern refugees.

Better for Poland to rely on themselves, they relied on England and France in 1939, and it didn’t work out for them.

So, we're supposed to face this challenge together. When are we going to start paying our fair-share of the NATO bill?

More accurately, they had to rely on appeaser Chamberlain. Once Churchill (now labeled “racist!” by the left) got in there, things started to go in the right direction; but later he got no support against the Soviets.
