While MIL may be majority “conservative”, it really doesn’t matter. Conservatives should never slavishly trust any MIL, regardless. Neither because they might be mostly of like mind, nor because the commies “loathe” the MIL. As soon as the commies are in power, they will LOVE the MIL and use it. That is what statists are all about...being militaristic.
The kids in the military had the same education as the ones marching in the streets.
