You have to know who the actual accreditation bodies are.
I don’t doubt many slip through the cracks by claiming to be *certified* by some bunk agency.
This is more common in vocational schools.
There are, however, built in controls via financial aid. Without acceptable accreditation, no Fed $. The student pays out of pocket.
Unfortunately, the scum schools just sign the students up on high interest installment contracts so they can get “degrees” or “certificates” that are worthless.
People don’t understand that post-secondary education is a *business*.

The worst offenders of all, when it comes to racketeering are the Ivies. They’re accredited all right, but, what they get away with, claiming *non-profit* status is infuriating.
