The cops know what to do—it is called the Ferguson effect.
Drink lots of coffee, eat lots of donuts, slow-walk the job.
The pay and benefits are good and they have a union—better than a lot of jobs.
I am familiar with one north side DC precinct where they hear gunshots every night out the window—and totally ignore them. If they actually get a citizen call, they move as slow as possible to make sure they do not have to get involved with the armed perps.
Why doesn’t the article mention the party right up front with the representative’s name?

These police officers have been on 12 hour shifts with no days off. I’m surprised more of them haven’t quit. They are getting no support from the mayor as she ties their hands and then complains about the results. I have no problem with them taking a few minutes to unwind before they head back out to the violent mob knowing that if they push back, they may be the next one to be crucified. I totally realize there are some bad cops, but that is the fault of the cities’ administration that has dumbed down the requirements to be an LEO. They will not allow the bad ones to be weeded out all in the name of “equality”.
Their most important job was to be targets for the rioters. Rioters gotta riot.
From the postures of the officers, and full daylight and sentry cop outside, I’d say they had just finished a hard night of chasing looters and were waiting on their transport. Bobby should be ashamed of himself for trying to put shame on them.
These politicians don’t support the police, why should police support them?

LOL! Reminds me of the Philly cops who used to roll us up and take all our party “favors”! It’s not like we were going to argue with them because they ran us out of town and didn;t put us in jail!
