Zuckerberg is smart enough to know if he starts “fact-checking” he runs the risk of becoming a “publisher” rather than a platform. That would open Facebook and himself up to libel laws.
I don’t think he’s about to take a chance on losing the exemption Congress gave him especially if the Republicans can hold the White House, the Senate, and possibly pick up the House.
The law would be changed within the first 100 days.
