I read the story, but I think you are exaggerating some with the inch of his life bit. Inch of his life would be comatose, hospitalization, intensive care, attempted murder charges. He was able to complain that his phone was stolen, so I don't think inch of his life applies here. It is better to stick to facts, rather than sensationalizing stories beyond their actual importance.
