DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Nascar driver Ray Ciccarelli took to Facebook Wednesday to announce he is leaving the sport once the 2020 season is over.
In his Facebook post, Ciccarelli said he does not like the direction Nascar is headed, adding that he does not believe in kneeling during the National Anthem nor does he believe in taking away the right for people to fly whatever flag they choose.
He made the announcement shortly after Nascar decided to ban the Confederate flag from its races and tracks.
Ciccarelli explained that he could care less about the Confederate flag, but said some people fly it and that does not make them racist.
In his Facebook post, Ciccarelli said it has been a fun ride and a dream come true.

NASCAR is wasting its time chasing potential fans they will never gain, while at the same time alienating its traditional fan base.

Drew Brees & his wife are kneeling and bowing...but not on principle. They’re doing it through cowardice and submissiveness.

Drew Brees did stand on principle. For a Fraction of a Second. Then he caved to the Leftist Mob in far less time.
In fact, he himself hasn’t said much after his initial cave but, his wife has been very vocal since.
She has been speaking for him in the last few days. Now, the racist POS Spike Lee has come out to speak to Brees virtues. When Spike Lee comes out for you it’s a sure sign you’ve lost all honor and credibility.
Drew Brees and his wife are both now acting like they have been brainwashed by a cult (which in truth is what actually happened). Just pathetic. Trying to appease these fools never works; it just emboldens the radicals and destroys the integrity of the appeaser.
Maybe someone will start a racing series that is about racing, not politics. When they do, I will be watching this guy.

I’m guessing that Drew and the Missus are thinking with their wallets. They don’t want to lose any upcoming opportunity to make money with Drew as a commentator or the like.
