Female voters are security motivated, this has been known for decades. There’s a distinction between sympathy for George Floyd and supporting the violence and destruction of property that has occurred though, purportedly under his name. It all depends upon just how the poll questions were framed. I suspect they got the answer they wanted, not necessarily an accurate read upon sentiment.
It’s the reason why Democrats are putting a lid on all the talk of defunding police, but if the RATs win everything in November then worrying about them defunding police will be the least of our concerns!
