According to Franklin County Representative Paul Schemel, the House passed a resolution tonight to end the governor’s COVID-19 emergency declaration. This was done on a 121-81, bipartisan vote. The Senate has already passed the same resolution.

Under the Pennsylvania Constitution, the General Assembly has the authority to terminate a state of disaster emergency at any time by concurrent resolution. Upon adoption of the resolution, the governor must issue an executive order or proclamation ending the state of disaster emergency. Today’s House vote completes the concurrent resolution process.

Under the Pennsylvania Constitution, the General Assembly has the authority to terminate a state of disaster emergency at any time by concurrent resolution. Upon adoption of the resolution, the governor must issue an executive order or proclamation ending the state of disaster emergency. >> It is not part of the PA constitutions it is title 35 HEALTH AND SAFETY
7301. General authority of Governor. (a) Responsibility to meet disasters.—The Governor is responsible for meeting the dangers to this Commonwealth and people presented by disasters. (b) Executive orders, proclamations and regulations.—Under this part, the Governor may issue, amend and rescind executive orders, proclamations and regulations which shall have the force and effect of law. (c) Declaration of disaster emergency.—A disaster emergency shall be declared by executive order or proclamation of the Governor upon finding that a disaster has occurred or that the occurrence or the threat of a disaster is imminent. The state of disaster emergency shall continue until the Governor finds that the threat or danger has passed or the disaster has been dealt with to the extent that emergency conditions no longer exist and terminates the state of disaster emergency by executive order or proclamation, but no state of disaster emergency may continue for longer than 90 days unless renewed by the Governor. The General Assembly by concurrent resolution may terminate a state of disaster emergency at any time. Thereupon, the Governor shall issue an executive order or proclamation ending the state of disaster emergency.

Now the ball is in liberal Democrat Governor Wolf's court. Will he defy the PA Constitution?

Can he declare a new emergency, and start the process over?

Alfredo Stroessner was dictator of Paraguay for 35 years. Their Constitution allowed the President to temporarily suspend rights, for a period of not over 90 days, by declaring a State of Siege. Stroessner did so, and then just kept renewing the State of Siege declaration every 90 days, for 35 years.

Yes, and to atone you must provide the only proven eyewash by posting at least one picture of our lovely FLOTUS!

That is what millions of Pennsylvanians have had to endure day after day, seven days a week at the daily Coronavirus briefings from the PA Department of Health.

Such pictures have been on the local news page of every major newspaper day after day after day.

Eyewash plus Irish Brigade’s limerick are the only way to to stay sane:

while a young kid Richie could then see
his dickie would cause him great frenzy
so he took a huge axe
gave his penis some whacks
and became a grim bigwig in Pennsy..

He can. but in light of the resolutions in both senate and house it would make no sense. They can just vote another concurrent res to end it.

Alfredo Stroessner was dictator of Paraguay for 35 years.

The Democratic party has been running some of our cities for far longer than that.....longer than the Castro's have been in control of Cuba or Stalin in control of the USSR.
