Senior White House officials told the Daily Caller that the protests, in both the District and cities across the country, didn’t “spontaneously” turn peaceful overnight and attributed the “decisive” deescalation to coordination between local law enforcement and National Guard troops....

This is true. For all the blubbering about using pepper spray and smoke bombs to clear out the crowd with bricks and flammable fluid in their water bottles, who just the night before were burning churches and destroying monuments, the assholes didn’t come back the next to causing havoc. they behaved themselves.

Yeah, right. We’re always tip-toeing around important issues. If it were up to me, the National Guard would have been in battle gear with bayonets affixed to their rifles. Herd the violent rioting thugs into cattle pens and let the locals zip-tie the filthy bastards.

“But... but... but... that could lead to rioting.”

Really? There’s not much left to burn.
