Grandstanding Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom reportedly wants to close a 200-resident veterans nursing home in a budget-cutting measure while at the same time enthusiastically handing out about $75 million in direct cash benefits to illegal aliens living in the state.
In an extreme example of questionable priorities to say the least, Newsom, a far-left Democrat who is enabled by a Democrat-controlled legislature, targeted the Veterans Home of California-Barstow for closure to save $2.6 million (or perhaps less) as the formerly Golden State faces a corona-virus-induced budget crisis.
For Democrats, illegal immigrants are among their primary constituencies.....................

CA has 8 veterans homes. About 6,000 beds.
Barstow is a dump. And it’s small.
Two new ones have been built...Fresno and Redding...in the last 10 years. Vets are probably moving there.
These homes have been funded, built and are operated by CalVet, a state agency.
Any other states have similar?
I know POTUS will never win CA but I hope he tweets about this. The left are demons.
And not one veteran goes after this punk to kick his ass?
Therefore above the law. No laws apply to Democrats.
There are numerous families that have moved to Barstow to be near to their love ones in the Vets home. What about them?

As the Grandson of a Spanish American War Vet and WW I Vet, Son of WWII Vet, Nephew of two WWII Vets, brother of two Vietnam era Vets, a Viet era Vet myself, and Dad of two Iraq war Vets, I so agree.

Newsom HATES our military and he HATES our precious elderly Veterans. He used a "cost savings" ruse to settle this cowardly and ungrateful score, yet Dems/Marxists/progressives have never in their history worried about costs of anything.
Newsom is such an ungrateful fungus.
A charismatic Veteran needs to oppose Newsom in the Gov election in a couple of years.
Newsom is a disgrace.
70 vets died from Covid In The Soldiers Home in Holyoke ,,MA....a state run home. There are others.
